Why do we call the mouflon the black sheep of the family? It’s due to its unique appearance – dark brown to black fur with a characteristic white saddle on its back. Additionally, unlike other game animals, the mouflon remains silent during the rut, making no typical sounds like roaring or whistling. This quietness and elusive nature make mouflon hunting especially challenging and rewarding for experienced hunters.
Mouflons can be hunted year-round, with each season offering unique experiences – from their glossy coats in spring and summer to the striking sight of their silhouette against snowy winter landscapes. Slovakia boasts picturesque hunting grounds with rolling hills, dense forests, and mountainous terrain that provide an ideal habitat for this rare game. For international hunters, mouflon hunting in Slovakia is a remarkable adventure, combining natural beauty with an adrenaline-filled challenge.

Warm months
In warmer months, hunting is conducted early in the morning and resumes in the afternoon after a midday break at a hunting lodge. This less demanding style is ideal for hunters seeking a more relaxed experience or those with lower physical stamina.
Cold months
Winter hunts span the entire day, offering a more challenging experience with mountain treks and obstacles. However, hunts can still be adjusted for hunters who prefer a less physically intense adventure.
Rut season
The rut provides a unique thrill as large rams gather near females, forming herds and engaging in battles for dominance. Hunters can witness these exciting displays, making it a memorable and exhilarating experience.

Union
Nestled in the heart of Europe, Slovakia is a country defined by its natural beauty and rich history. The northern region, home to the majestic Carpathian Mountains, offers some of the most stunning landscapes in Europe. These rugged peaks, covered in dense forests and rolling hills, are a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.
Dear hunters
From my experience, I know that true hunters come to hunt for adventure. The trophy on the wall is just the tip of the iceberg in the sea, underneath which hide memories, adventures, and an unforgettable story.
