Cull hunting in Slovakia is unique experience for every hunter who decides to come here. In Slovakia we do hunt red deers, fallow deers, mouflons and wild boars with the very reasonable goal. Since the populations are too big to sustain the fields and forests in good conditions it is necessary to decrease the numbers of these populations. Cull hunting is designated to hunt females , calfs and one year old animals which are part of huge overpopulated herds.
Every species has a specific signs of one year old animal and that is where the true mastery of hunting comes to the life. To pick the right animal in the big group is the hunting skill which is great to practice. With cull hunting you can shoot from 30 meters all the way up to 400 meters depending on your skill and equipment. Besides the hunting you will learn a lot about moving without being seen , wind directions and various tricks as well as how to predict what will be next move of animals according to their behavior. Cull hunting is the university of hunting when talking about the patience and experience.
During the spring months it is very nice and calm hunting with putting big emphasis on hunting one year old animals. Morning and evening stalks with the rest with fine lunch is the perfect time for your of season hunting trip.
During the summer the season in Slovakia is already running good and there is a big chance of getting a lot of nice shooting during the early morning or late evenings. Perfect weather conditions with long day light makes this a perfect time of the year for your warm up before main season.
Towards the end of the year weather is more crazy and you will wake up to foggy but beautiful fall mornings. Awesome conditions for morning stalks and face to face hunting with animals.
As the winters comes to its power the hunting is at its peak. During the winter we hunt through the all day stalking on the wintering grounds of animals. We look for the animals at the sunny sides and try to get the best positions for shooting.
Since the cull hunting is going on for the whole year there is a lot of combination of the hunts with other species which live in the same hunting grounds.
