Slovakia’s brewing tradition goes back centuries, but a new wave of craft breweries is reinventing Slovak beer culture with passion and innovation. After days spent in the field, there is no better way to celebrate than raising a glass of fresh, locally brewed beer—straight from the source.

Pivovar ERB, located directly within our hunting territories, offers exceptional craft beer, an outstanding restaurant, and guided brewery tours. During the tour, you can watch the brewing process firsthand and taste fresh beer perfectly paired with traditional Slovak cuisine.

Across the region, small local breweries feature their own restaurants with expertly paired menus and guided beer tastings. Meet the brewers, sample a variety of beer styles, and discover why Slovak craft beer is gaining international acclaim.

You can also take fresh beer home in sealed cans that preserve its just-tapped quality—open them weeks later and taste Slovakia all over again.

SPA TOWNS & THERMAL WELLNESS

Slovakia is blessed with abundant natural thermal springs, making it one of Europe's premier spa destinations. After days in the field, there's no better way to unwind than soaking in mineral-rich waters that have been healing bodies since Roman times.

Slovakia's museums tell stories you won't find anywhere else—from aristocratic hunting traditions to wartime resistance, from folk crafts to industrial innovation.

The Hunting Museum in Svätý Anton (Manor House) is one of Slovakia's most magnificent late Baroque-classicist mansions, built in 1744.

SKANZENS (OPEN-AIR MUSEUMS)

Skanzens are Slovakia's unique contribution to cultural preservation—open-air museums featuring authentic traditional wooden architecture, relocated buildings, and living demonstrations of rural life as it was lived for centuries.

Slovakia has approximately 14 skanzens preserving folk architecture from various regions. The Museum of Folk Architecture in Bardejovské Kúpele (opened in 1965) is the oldest, featuring nearly 30 relocated buildings including timber barns, painted houses, and two UNESCO-listed wooden churches from the 18th century.

UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES

Slovakia boasts eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with several located near our primary hunting regions, making cultural exploration effortless during your stay.

✦ UNESCO Sites Near Levice & Banská Štiavnica:

Historic Town of Banská Štiavnica and Technical Monuments (approximately 60-70 km from Levice) is the closest UNESCO site—a medieval mining town that shaped European history. See dedicated section below.

Vlkolínec (approximately 100 km north) is a perfectly preserved 19th-century wooden village exemplifying traditional Carpathian rural architecture. This living museum is still inhabited, with traditional log houses, wooden wells, and folk architecture unchanged for over a century.

Caves of Aggtelek and Slovak Karst (UNESCO) include six extraordinary caves with rare formations, ice halls, and underground rivers—detailed in the Caves section above.

Other UNESCO treasures within day-trip distance include wooden churches in the Carpathians (some over 500 years old, built without a single nail), Levoča with Spiš Castle (Central Europe's largest medieval castle), and Bardejov's medieval town center.

BANSKÁ ŠTIAVNICA — HISTORIC MINING TOWN

Banská Štiavnica is one of Slovakia's crown jewels—a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993 and Europe's oldest mining center. This extraordinarily preserved medieval town flourished from the 13th century, extracting gold, silver, and copper from the volcanic mountains surrounding it.

Medieval mining heritage attracted engineers and scientists from across Europe, leading to revolutionary innovations in mining technology. The town developed an ingenious water management system with 60 hand-built lakes (24 remain today) used for mining drainage and power—an engineering marvel of the Renaissance era.

Architectural treasures include the Old Castle (originally a Romanesque basilica fortified against Turkish invasions), New Castle (built 1564-1571), Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Protestant Church, St. Catherine's Church, and the spectacular Calvary Hill complex (1744) featuring chapels and churches climbing the hillside.

One of Slovakia's greatest advantages is its location at the heart of Central Europe—putting three magnificent historic capitals within 2-3 hours' drive.

Budapest, Hungary The "Pearl of the Danube" offers stunning architecture, thermal baths, ruin bars, the historic Castle District, Parliament building, and Danube riverfront promenades.

Vienna, Austria The imperial Habsburg capital features world-class museums (Kunsthistorisches Museum, Belvedere Palace), grand palaces (Schönbrunn, Hofburg), opera houses, coffeehouses, and elegant boulevards where Mozart and Beethoven once walked.

Prague, Czech Republic The "City of a Hundred Spires" enchants with Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square's astronomical clock, medieval lanes, and riverside beer gardens serving world-famous Czech pilsners.

HIGH TATRAS

The High Tatras (Vysoké Tatry) are the highest mountain range in the Carpathians and Slovakia’s most dramatic natural wonder.

Despite being the smallest alpine range in the world, they offer extraordinary beauty within a compact area—jagged peaks rising over 2,600 meters, crystal-clear glacial lakes, cascading waterfalls, and more than 300 km of well-marked hiking trails.

Highlights include:

  • Gerlachovský štít – 2,655 m (the highest peak in Slovakia)

PRISTINE NATURE IN OUR HUNTING GROUNDS

The Wilderness Only True Hunters Experience

Beyond the hunt itself, our hunting grounds offer an immersive experience in Slovakia's untouched wildernes. Ancient forests teeming with wildlife, mountain streams flowing through pristine valleys, and landscapes that reveal the raw beauty of Central European nature at its finest.

Dense forest ecosystems where centuries old oaks, beeches, and spruces create natural corridors for red deer, wild boar, and roe deer. These ancient woodlands provide perfect habitat for game and unforgettable hunting experiences in terrain shaped by nature over millennia.

Mountain landscapes and valleys feature dramatic elevation changes, rocky outcrops, and hidden meadows where game feed at dawn and dusk. Crystal-clear streams cascade through limestone gorges, creating natural boundaries between different hunting sectors rich with diverse wildlife.

Seasonal transformations bring ever changing beauty. Spring forests alive with birdsong and fresh growth, summer meadows bursting with wildflowers, autumn woods painted in gold and crimson during rutting season, and winter landscapes where tracking becomes an art form in fresh snow.

Rich biodiversity extends beyond game species. Observe eagles soaring overhead, listen for woodpeckers in old-growth forests, and discover mushroom-rich grounds and medicinal plants that have sustained local communities for generations.
